“You jelly?”

Jealousy is ultimately an act of soul-abuse.

Jealousy represents what happens when we cannot think of ourselves as actual human beings with thoughts, emotions, and lives. It’s when we reduce ourselves and our multidimensional humanity to some singular aspect. By performing this reduction, we render ourselves “the same” as someone else who we have also reduced in the same way.

The result is that we compare only the reduced version of ourselves against the similarly reduced version of the other person and push a division in there, instead of acknowledging the other person as different and distinct as we are.

To be jealous is to forget that you are an individual of astonishing singularity.
