Just how many stories are here, anyway? Aside from that particular Unanswerable Question, this was a fun book to read, covering a great portion of the life of Woodrow Wilson Smith, a.k.a. Lazarus Long, an ornery old cuss who's just lived too damn long. If you aren't familiar with this character, well, it's not the best introduction -- Methuselah's Stepchildren really is the best -- but Time Enough for Love is very detailed about the kind of life Smith lives, given his 'druthers.
