Review: "Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman!"

"Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman!"

Richard P. Feynman

A great autobiography of Feynman, covering a few notable episodes in his life. I was especially fond of his adventures learning how to pick locks (not that difficult) and how at first it was a great help during his sojourn working on the first atomic bomb, but later, it got him into a bit of hot soup. There's also a comic book that covers some of the contents of this book, entitled Two-Fisted Science which I liked, too. Of all the things about Feynman that I've found most inspirational, it has always been his attitude of "Well, why not?" when approaching learning something new or solving a new problem. I can get behind that idea. Too many people decide they can't before they ever really give it a good try. I recommend this book, yes indeedy!
