The first half of this book is a collection of Heinlein stories, which is pretty good. Lots of early works, lots of obscure works, lots of things that when seen in this particular direction tell a story of a man who wrote his fingers off and kept going. The second half of the book is much more interesting, though. It is a collection of essays and speeches given by and about Robert A. Heinlein. Obviously, the ones he gave were before his death, but the ones by other people were given after his death. Most of them are very poignant, revealing Heinlein's personality -- alas too late. His own various speeches are especially interesting.
