Review: The Art of Human-Computer Interface Design

The Art of Human-Computer Interface Design

Brenda Laurel (editor)

This is a meaty collection of essays introducing and exploring many topics on Human Computer Interface. One of the more interesting essays detailed the designing of a computer interface for a gorilla. No matter how angry we get at our computers, we still can't muster up the strength of a gorilla who is even just a little bit miffed. This is only one chapter, and the rest are just as interesting. I've heard good things about Brenda Laurel as a speaker, too, and I hope she comes to town again (I missed her last time she went through) to speak.
