"Innsmouth Legacy"

We might have our sites locked up, which would be good. I'm going to head out there in the next weekend or two to make sure and get site releases and such. If so, then we're going to start nailing down the Production Schedule for shooting. Some more casting and crew decisions are being made. We still haven't been able to cast the two female parts, Katherine and Jennifer. The problematic part is matching the eyes. I've started working on one of the more interesting props and it's turning out very cool.

We had a nice showing of this at the Longbaugh Film Festival, except for the credits being cut along the edge. This was my fault, however, and I've since repaired the file.

Sales are still brisk -- we're approaching the halfway-gone point of the discs. As an experiment, we recently ran an add on the webcomic Something Positive, which was very productive for us.
"Con of the Dead"

Norwescon hosts our annual Let's Make A Movie workshop and this year, with two hit movies featuring dead people coming back to life, we decided it was time for a Norwescon zombie movie. This parody of the genre came out surprisingly well, considering the bizarre time constraints of the workshop. We wrote it in two hours, shot it in about 2.5 hours, edited it for 4 hours and voila. There were a few tweaks here and there, but basically, this all happened in eight hours spread across a weekend long science fiction convention. Way fun! So, if you're in the Pacific Northwest and you feel like doing this with us, by all means stay tuned to Norwescon's website.
"Shadowdog"

Okay, this was just spooky. I showed this to a small audience earlier this month at Norwescon and the response was wild. I mean, amazingly enthusiastic. They laughed, then they clapped, then they cheered. All this for less than one minute?! I've definitely tapped into some kind of funky zeitgeist, man... I showed it to Andrew Migliore and it seems pretty likely it'll officially premiere at the Lovecraft Film Festival next Autumn. Yay!
"Vows"

We showed our new short movie "Vows" to a small audience at Norwescon and the response was good. It confirmed a few things that we had already suspected about the timing, etc. This was a recent one-night shoot, although it took a while for the props and preproduction work. Vows isn't commercially available yet -- it'll probably be a freebie on our next feature's DVD.
"Broccoli Man"
Well, this isn't one of our movies, but if you keep your eyes peeled on the Broccoli Man website, you might eventually see that Mike is planning and shooting a number of short movies featuring Broccoli Man. In one of them is a lumbering herd of zombies and one of the most particularly spastic zombies happens to be yours truly. This was loads of fun and I cannot recommend broccoli and broccoli-related movies enough. Nor can I recommend enough saying "Yes!" when someone asks you "Hey, can you spend a day being a zombie for my movie?" (hint, hint!)
Okay, enough news, I gotta get back to doing Unspeakable Things.
