Guerrilla Productions Newsletter -- March 10, 2004
Would you like to receive our somewhat-regular announcements via e-mail? It's a text-only list, maintained by me and I don't sell or do anything stupid with it other than the Guerrilla Productions announcements. If so, sign up here!
Greetings, Dreamers!
Welcome to the irregular newsletter from Guerrilla Productions.
What's the news, what's the news:
"Innsmouth Legacy"
http://www.petting-zoo.org/Movies_Innsmouth.html
We have more news on this exciting production. We've nailed down several of the locations -- interiors, exteriors, and even some very spooky beach space. We're still looking for wedding chapels and such, particularly creepy looking ones! I'll be updating that page soon with additional needs, so stay tuned! This movie is really turning into a very cool project. I think you'll all be quite pleased!
"The Testament of Tom Jacoby"

http://www.petting-zoo.org/Movies_Testament.html
As many of you know, this is our spooky little movie we did right before "The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath". Happily, it's now represented on the Internet Movie Database. So, if you've seen it and you want to comment on it or vote for it, by all means, feel free to. If you haven't seen it, it's a freebie on the Dream-Quest DVD.
In other news, we've just received word that the Longbaugh Film Festival has accepted "The Testament of Tom Jacoby" for their show in April. Woo-hoo!
So, those of you in the Portland area April 2, 3, and 4, check it out: http://www.longbaugh.com/
"The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath"

This is still selling, and we have news. Diamond Comics has accepted "The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath" to appear in their April issue of solicitations. It'll be noted as a Spotlight Item, which will bring it a little more attention. This is very exciting for us because it's entirely possible that this single order could wipe out our stock of the autograph edition. This would be v-e-r-y good! So, if you or someone over whom you have financial influence is a comic book fan, be sure to tell your shop you want to nab a copy when the solicitation comes out in April.
Oh, and we're selling more Collector's Packs on ebay. Check out the current offerings.
I'd like to point out that on the IMDB discussion boards, someone posted a very happy thing about this movie and although I thanked them, I wanted to pass that on to everybody who helped with it, who volunteered time, effort, money, supplies and oodles of love to help that movie happen. When people are this happy about the movie, it's all 'cause of you guys! Thank you! (when they're unhappy about it, it's my fault)
Bonus Shorts!
In the very near future, we're going to be shooting a collection of very, very short movies, based on a collection of stories from my own Carnival of Tiny Stories. If you're in the Portland area, this is a great and fun thing to join in on, if you feel like playing along with us. Each of the movies is going to be a one-evening shoot, or one-afternoon shoot. We need people to do all sorts of things, from holding lights to acting, to monitoring sound, to being gophers, to digging holes, to doing makeup and costuming... everything! Anyone who helps with any particular movie receives screen credit and a copy of the movie when it's done. Write to us if you want to be in on this series!
Wanted: camera
We've lost one of our camcorders and it happens that we're left with only a VHS camera. So if anyone out there has a digital camera of any sort that we could have or trade for, please drop me a line!
Looking for books and other difficult-to-find items?
May I recommend Gavin's store: Gavinicuss Books. Gavin's been a firm supporter of "The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath" from early on and he deserves serious props for that. Gavin's a specialist at finding what he doesn't already stock. Go ahead -- if you're looking for an obscure book or three, try him first: http://www.gavinicussbooks.com/
Okay, enough news, I gotta get back to doing Unspeakable Things.
Have fun, dream vividly, and wake up wondering if you're still asleep!
Cheers,
Edward
