It's been a busy three weeks. Although I've finished the shooting script (I might make a few minor changes), it hasn't been typed yet. Once that's done, I'll start assigning voices to characters, based on the audition tapes.
Oh, yeah, the audition tapes.
Each person who wants to record one or more voices, please note that I need an audition recording. I plan to do recording here, on Saturday the 29th, 10am. All voices will read their names and then read the two different parts (see end of note) while I record. Note that there are two different characters for each sex. Unfortunately, there are way more male voices in this than female, but please don't let that discourage you.
If you can't make it to the audition, then sending me a tape of your recording (please label the tape with your name and other contact info) will work fine (but you will eventually have to be physically present to record the actual voices for the movie -- the studio is not mobile). If you can record a WAV file and you want to do it that way, then call me and we'll make the arrangements.
By the time I have the tapes and recordings, we'll have a typed script and a cast list and I'll listen to all the recordings and start assigning voices.
It is my hope that no one character will require more than a day or two of recording, but anyone with a severely short schedule can be assigned to voices that only require a few minutes of recording.
Please write back and tell me if you're interested. Let me know if you can make the audition. If you can't, but you want to send a tape, please let me know you're doing that. If you want to do an electronic transfer, please write back or call me and we'll make arrangements (do NOT send an attached file to this e-mail).
