The Application
The cabinets of curiosity existed during a peculiar period of time in history. They predated public museums and in fact, many museums put the cabinets out of business, simply because the museum was free and the cabinets charged money. Here's a fine description for a Cabinet of Curiosity: http://www.curiosity.org.uk/whatisa.htm. We set up a variety of... "exhibits". We encouraged all comers to bring their own exhibits as well. The goal here was to create our very own Cabinet of Curiosity that reflects this unique gathering in Time and Space.
