My writerly advice for today:
Never overthink your world.
Do enough to get you going, but if you overthink it, then you’re just grinding gears without moving forward. The Internet is full of assholes who will gladly nitpick and third-guess you, and they’ll do it for free, so there’s no reason for you to do their work for them.
This afternoon, I was doing a bit of world-building for a project and got to “But wait, how would pooping work, then?” and that was my sudden cue to say “Let’s… let’s just stop right now.”
