I’ve been thinking about how we treat experts and professionals.
Some of them, we respect. Others we shit on.
Some we pay a great deal of money to because we value their expertise. Others we laugh at say mock “some people have too much free time, yuck-yuck-yuck.”
I think we as a society need to get our shit together and allow experts to exist in all fields. Expert artists, expert lawyers, expert carpenters, expert teachers, expert engineers, expert biologists, expert doctors, expert photographers, expert jugglers, expert climatologists, etc.
It’s okay — even kinda exciting — to find someone who’s really good at something. It’s a chance to learn more things.
Let’s stop shitting on experts.
