For every artist you loved who has died, for every musician who will never write a new song again, for every comic who actually made really good points who no longer walks among us…
…certainly grieve in the way that suits your memories…
…but also, please ask yourself to look around you at the children and your friends and the other people who are still alive. Find other artists, find other musicians, poets, comics, performers, and inspirers.
And in the children around you, encourage art, encourage music, encourage performance. Let them know that they can explore their muse and become amazing creative geniuses.
Because that’s where the next artists are going to come from — as long as we let them know it’s possible.
